Aspects of Autumn in Watercolour with John Redfern Harris

If you have never painted before or you want to get a little coaching or pointers this is an ideal workshop for you, John will take the absolute beginner or improver through each stage of an Autumn landscape in a step by step and easy to understand manner.

John will paint a sky the students will paint a sky, John will paint a tree the student will paint the tree and so on until the painting is
complete. During drying times John will demonstrate many ways to paint skies, trees and water.

John is a very easy going and approachable artist and likes his workshops to be fun and without pressure, "We all have to start
somewhere and I find we get better results with a smile".

All materials including boards will be provided.

John and Bonita are fully qualified to teach all media in many subjects. Listed below are a number of services they offer. This page is constantly being updated with new venues, dates and events
Demonstration 1: Oils and Acrylic / Watercolours. For the first hour a landscape oil painting on canvas, followed by an Acrylic / watercolour landscape painting on paper.	Demonstration 2: Watercolour pencils and Aquatone watercolour sticks on paper plus many water based painting tips on different skies, trees, water and flowers.
Demonstration 3: Acrylic Gouache, a complete landscape painting on canvas and a second landscape painting on paper.	Demonstration 4: Oils on canvas. Two paintings one landscape showing skies, trees and water the second painting a skies, trees and tumbling waterfalls and still pools.
Demonstration 5: Watercolour painting techniques, a landscape painting as the main theme with numerous cameos of how to paint different skies, water trees, people, textures and anything the members can throw at them.	Demonstration 6: General painting techniques. This can be a bit of everything using different mediums, Oils, watercolours, Pencils, drawing, wildlife, figurative landscapes still life just call for a specific demonstration that may suite your group.
John is available for painting workshops 7 days a week on any of the above subjects usually leading the group through a stepped painting, John paints a sky you paint a sky, John paints a tree you paint a tree and so on, interspersed with many little demonstrations. Bonita is available on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and usually accompanies John at the weekend workshops. The two artists together can do a duel workshop at the same time if some members wish to paint oils John takes them one side of the hall and if others want to paint watercolours / acrylics on flowers for instance Bonita takes the to another part of the hall.
